SCIENTIFIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS

at the Faculty of Philosophy, in the Institute of Psychology within the project “Engaging the nature vs. nurture debate through the study of cognitive plasticity in blindness and deafness” funded by National Science Center, MAESTRO 10

According to the article 3.3 of Regulations for awarding NCN scholarships for NCN-funded research projects, the scholarship may be awarded to a person who meets any of the following criteria: is a student of a full-time first or second-cycle degree programme or uniform Master’s studies at a university in Poland

We invite to apply:

A student in Psychology / Cognitive Science.
Programming skills in Python
Previous experience in MRI data collection and analysis
Attention to details, you are able to work independently, you are self-motivated.

According to the article 3.12 of Regulations for awarding NCN scholarships for NCN-funded research projects following criteria are considered:

the candidate’s research achievements, including publications in prestigious academic press /journals (50% of the final score),
research-related achievements, scholarships, awards and research experience gained in Poland or abroad, research workshops and training courses, participation in research projects (20% of the final score),
the candidate’s competence to carry out specific tasks in the research project (30% of the final score).

Duties include:

Recruit subjects
Carry out MRI data collection in Warsaw
Carry data analysis using packages in Python
Work must lead to a MSc thesis based on the above activities

We offer:

scholarship, 2500 PLN per month, until the end of September 2024,
