Scientific and technical worker at the Pain Research Laboratory - competition

Institute of Psychology of the Jagiellonian University announces a competitive selection process for the post of an employee in the scientific and technical staff OF THE LABORATORY OF PAIN RESEARCH at the Faculty of Philosophy, in the Institute of Psychology, in the Department of General Psychology, in the Pain Research Group within the project „Un(learning) pain by consequences. Development of the learning theory of placebo effects” funded by National Science Center, MAESTRO 12

The candidate should meet the following criteria:

1) higher education,
2) fluency in English,
3) knowledge of safety and lab procedures,
4) good technical and IT skills,
5) good planning and organizational skills.
Additionaly welcome are:
6) experience in conducting psychological experimental research,
7) experience in laboratory work, especially on a similar position,
8) experience in statistical data analysis.
 

Duties include:

1) coordination of experimental studies in the laboratory,
2) administrative support and secretarial services,
3) preparation of the study materials,
4) recruitment of study participants,
5) caring and maintaining of laboratory equipment,
6) purchasing lab supplies,
7) whenever possible: programming the experimental procedures,
8) whenever possible: preparing the data collected in the experiments for
statistical analysis,
9) whenever possible: conducting experiments in the lab.

The work will be primarily on-site; therefore, the presence of an employee at the Institute of Psychology of the Jagiellonian University is required.
