Prerekwizyty: basics of normative or descriptive ethics, some knowledge of computer science and/or artificial intelligence

Opis kursu:

This course will be done in seminar form with each participant contributing to discussion by generating discussion points related to assigned readings, posting them in an internet forum in the Pegaz system, and then engaging in critical responses to the discussion points of others. The final grade for the course will be 50% based on these discussion points and 50% on a final paper, which will be a 4000-6000 word essay on one of the three topics below and that uses at least one of the papers listed as a starting point for the development of one’s own argument or point of view. I may schedule meetings for discussion in a classroom in Kraków as time permits.

The aim of this course is to address some the current issues in the philosophy of technology that deal directly with artificial intelligence. The issues discussed will be:
